The Unseen Tracker

Game Overview

The Unseen Tracker is a 1v1 asymmetric multiplayer game developed in a 4-day Game Jam with the theme “Detecting” and UE4 engine. Inspired by Dead by Daylight, the game features two opposing roles: Hunter (Monster) and Human.

  • Hunters rely on a charged detection ability that emits bouncing sonar waves to reveal Human locations. They can also attack with normal and charged strikes to eliminate Humans after two hits, securing a win condition.
  • Humans remain invisible within the Hunter’s vision but leave temporary footprints when moving. They must repair scattered generators within the time limit to maintain their invisibility and achieve victory.

My roles:

  • Co-designed and finalized game mechanics for both roles.
  • Independently designed the UI/UX interface, ensuring clarity in gameplay feedback.
  • Assisted in map layout and construction, collaborating with a teammate for an engaging level design.

As a result, the team successfully created a fully functional 1v1 asymmetric multiplayer game, integrating stealth mechanics, strategic detection, and dynamic combat interactions. During the final showcase, our game received widespread positive feedback, with players praising its unique mechanics and engaging gameplay, making it a standout project in the Game Jam.
