My name is Yuhua Xiao, but you can also call me Gabriel. Since graduating high school in 2015, I have been in Canada, studying and working in the design field. I enjoy the creative process of bringing ideas to life from scratch.
I prioritize objective facts and logical reasoning, while also keeping an open mind to every possibility for innovation.
I am currently a third-year Game Design student at Sheridan College. Before that, I completed a four-year program in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Niagara College.
Besides my studies, I have gained valuable internship and full-time work experience across computer-aided design (CAD) and gaming operation.
At Tencent IEG Global, I interned as a Game Operation Intern, focusing on game trend analysis, competitor research, content planning, and version quality management. This experience strengthened my skills in monetization strategies and data-driven optimization, while also expanding my owned expertise.
In CAD-related roles at WAMIC Research Center, Tradewood Industry, and Aspen Laminating, I worked on 3D modelling, product optimization, and design feasibility, enhancing my cross-disciplinary thinking and teamwork skills.
During my coursework, I actively participate in Game Jams and other creative projects to sharpen my game design skills.
